Gore Engineering vs Brokk
Brokk pioneered the remote-controlled demolition robot. Gore Engineering supplies attachments for standard excavators. These aren't really competing products. But if you're choosing between buying a Brokk platform vs upgrading your existing excavator's attachment kit, here's how the trade-off looks.
The honest take
Brokk is a unique product. Remote-controlled demolition robots designed for confined spaces, hazardous-material removal, tunnel work, and any environment where you can't or shouldn't put a human operator in a cab. They invented the category in Sweden and remain the global leader. If your work demands robotic demolition (refractory removal, nuclear decommissioning, indoor demo) Brokk is the right tool, full stop.
The question isn't really Brokk vs Gore. It's "should I buy a Brokk robot for this project, or do conventional excavator attachments cover what I need?" For 95% of standard excavator work (bergbrytning outdoors, schaktning, residential demolition, civil engineering, forestry) a conventional excavator with proper attachments does the job at a fraction of the capital cost.
Gore Engineering supplies the attachment side of that equation. Hammers, grapples, buckets, augers, all in S30-S70 mount classes, all in stock at Saltsjö-Boo, all under up-to-5-year warranty. If you already have an excavator and need to expand its capability, Gore's product range is the lower-CAPEX path versus a Brokk platform purchase.
Where Brokk wins: confined-space and hazardous-environment demolition. There's no real substitute. Where Gore wins: standard excavator attachment kit at a fraction of the platform CAPEX.

Where Gore wins
Capital cost. A Brokk platform is a six-figure purchase. A complete Gore attachment kit for an existing excavator is a fraction of that. If your work doesn't actually need a robot, you're paying for capability you won't use.
Range and mount coverage. S30 to S70 across hammers, buckets, grapples, augers, forks, forestry. Whatever the machine you already own, there's a kit for it.
Up-to-5-year warranty on drive units. And shipping in days, not weeks.
